Mette Marie Lei Lange is an optimist. She has a unique ability to see the big in the small, and that is the view of life she shares daily on Instagram and her blog, where humor, reflection, self-irony and emotional surplus characterizes the content. Mette Marie’s followers are faithful, and there is a high degree of daily interactions on her social media. Mette Marie manages to inspire at eye level, and her texts are well written in a stylish and easily recognizable language. Mette Marie’s abilities as a storyteller make it easy for her to communicate with her target group, which extends all over Denmark. Her blog is visited monthly by over 80,000 people (on average), which makes it one of the most visited blogs in Denmark.
Mette Marie spends much of her attention as an influencer on charity work. Among other things, she made headlines in all of the country’s largest media, when she in 2019 got a record number of people to register as blood and stem cell donors in one week – a cause she’s still very involved in. In 2018, Mette Marie attracted a lot of new sponsors for PlanBØRNEfonden, when, after a trip to Benin, she executed a large charity event on her very own. In the spring of 2020, she will travel to Kenya with PlanBØRNEfonden to once again engage her followers in the work that is being done to improve conditions for the children there.
In 2018, Mette Marie made her debut as a playwriter when she co-wrote the play ‘MOTHERS’, which was sold out even before the premiere at Folketeateret (and has since been both extended and re-staged). The play has just been sold to Iceland, set to premiere in 2020. In 2018 she participated in YouSee’s successful travel talk show “Bye, Bye, Baby” and in 2020 she was an actress in DR Ultra’s TV series STIKKER. In addition, she lectures and often gives interviews to Denmark’s large newspapers, as well as fashion and lifestyle magazines on some of the topics she covers on her blog.
Mette Marie has a master’s degree in psychology and communication and was from 2010 to 2014 employed as a digital editor at Modemagasinet ELLE. She lives in Køge with her husband, Jon, and their twins, but has her daily activities in Copenhagen.
